Welcome to the GRPS Summer Reading blog site! We are so excited to be partnering with the Grand Rapids Public Library (GRPL) on this great adventure and we have some exciting rewards planned for students who read.
If you would like to be a blog author so you can write your own blog posts, not just comment or reply, contact me at bakerj@grps.org with your name, school and student ID. I will get you set up to write blog posts! We would love to have you be one of our "authors".

To sign up, fill out this permission slip and turn in to any Grand Rapids Public Library branch or to your school librarian. There are logs that you will complete and turn in at the GRPL to receive your free T-shirt but you can also return your logs to the GRPS Library Media Services table at the Back To School Celebration (August 13th at John Ball Zoo) to pick up your free T-shirt. Check out the Summer Reading Challenge booklet.
Those who wear their T-shirts at the celebration and check in at the table will be entered to win Kindle Fire HD readers and fun prize bags.
For students that blog, your name will be automatically entered into the drawing for the grand prize of Beats Headphones.
The GRPS Library Media Services reading award prizes will be called off from the stage at 6:30pm. You must be present to win.
